Tiny Camera Spies With Its Little Blurry Eye

Somewhere in the back of Archie comics, between the X-ray Specs and the SeaMonkeys, is the natural home of the Swann Micro-VideoCam, a.k.a. the MovieStick, a mini movie camera for junior spooks and aspiring FBI informants. This camera is about the size and shape of a pack of chewing gum, and weighs just 0.68 ounces. It records videos at 352 x 288 pixels, encoding them in the 3GP format used by many cellphones (the videos can be played on your computer using most media player software, including QuickTime and RealPlayer). Other than its diminutive size and the fact that it actually does record video, the best thing you can say about the MovieStick is that has an extremely simple setup. Hook up the enclosed cable to your computer via a USB port, and plug the other end into the MovieStick. The computer recognizes the camera as a storage device, and you can click and view videos in QuickTime while simultaneously charging the unit's lithium battery. However, unlike Dick Tracy's wristwatch, this package does not come mission-ready. It needs a Micro SD card (up to 2GB in size). It's not included, but it's a necessity for storing video, so you can't go covert without it. Also, the MovieStick is oozing with design flaws. First of all, the pinhole-sized lens is located on the long side of the device, rather than the short end, limiting your ability to go truly undercover unless you can figure out how to have it peep out of a buttonhole in your vest pocket. The camera has a confusing series of lights to let you know when it's charging, when it's on and when it's recording. We couldn't easily tell which was which, with the result that we inadvertently recorded more than a few videos of the floor. The MovieStick's poor video quality isn't going to make anyone a star, even on YouTube. Its videos are tiny, and image quality suffers if your subject is too brightly lit, too dimly lit, or moving too fast. On the other hand, the sound was surprisingly clear, about on par as what we get with a Flip Mino. Despite making you feel like a much dorkier James Bond, we have to wonder what you might actually use the MovieStick for. Surreptitious low-quality videos of Hollywood screeners? Sly locker room footage? We're not sure any of the scenarios we can imagine are worth the $119, especially given the high likelihood of getting caught and pummeled. It might seem like a better deal, though, if Swann threw in a lifetime supply of Whoopie cushions or a couple of Venus Flytraps. WIRED The smallest video camera we've seen yet. Simple to setup and use. Makes you look like a double agent. TIRED Location of camera lens makes it hard to go covert. No internal storage or memory card included. Recorded video is shakier and blurrier than outtakes from The Blair Witch Project. Manufacturer: Swann Price: $120

This Smartphone Means Business, Lets You Toggle to Personal Life

The E71 looks more like a Blackberry killer, but don't be fooled: This great white hope from Finland is a smart device that gives the iPhone a run for its money in a lot of different areas (yes, really).

Despite its obvious lack of an oversized touchscreen interface, Nokia wins points for a remarkably trim profile (10mm vs. 12.3mm), decent 3.2-megapixel camera (instead of 2.0), and the fact it's not tied to any carrier (yet). Most of all, we're stoked they avoided the overcrowded iClone bandwagon by sticking to what they do best: gorgeous hardware packed with a satisfying range of fun(ctional) features.

Setting up Nokia's Mail for Exchange program required no IT help or time. QuickOffice let us create, edit and send Word/Excel/PowerPoint files on the fly while we browsed PDFs with Adobe Acrobat Reader.

The E71 is stocked with enough apps and goodies to keep even the most overworked road warrior on the ball, but it didn't feel too "business." That's mostly due to the fact that the E71 has two separate customizable home screens. One is designed to house all of your work apps like Excel and PowerPoint while the other is geared more towards entertainment with programs for audio, video and gaming. Switching between the two is dead simple, a dedicated button at the top of the menu lets you toggle between the two screens instantly.

The phone's 2.36-inch, 320 x 240 QVGA display is only slightly smaller than the iPod Classic's, and though the resolution can't top the iPhone's, with 15 fps, the E71 is still solid for YouTube clips. The slightly rejiggered QWERTY took some getting used to (the Q-A-Z keys are flush with the chassis), but the learning curve was significantly faster than any touchscreen we've tapped: After three days of iPhoning, typos were relatively common. After three hours with the E71, they're pretty much nonexistent. Oh, and did we mention the E71's got battery life for days? Yes, literally three of them.

WIRED: Up to 8 GB in an easy-to-access, external microSD slot. Quick and seamless OS. GPS, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth (you name it, it's basically got it). Vivid screen (even in direct sunlight). Textured stainless steel backing prevents slippage. Relatively lightweight (127 grams = 6 grams lighter than iPhone). Hit any letter on the QWERTY pad and predictive text calls up that section of your address book.

TIRED: No standard 3.5mm headphone jack. 3.2-megapixel camera's optics could be better. LED flash could be way better. N-Gage gaming platform not available. Screen's wide, but not wide enough to do a feature-length film justice. For $500, you could get TWO 8-GB, 3G JesusPhones (with $100 left over to put toward AT&T's data plan).

Online Forex Trading Education

There are many people who are interested in forex trading. But before you start trading in forex, getting a good online forex trading education is important. The forex market is largely a technical market with its own forex terms and processes so it is important you grasp the fundamentals with an online forex trading education.

Why Online Forex Trading Education?

Most people who want to try forex trading are often busy with other aspects of life to take care of. They probably do not have the time to attend a course on forex trading. Therefore, an online forex trading education is more suited.

Since it’s online, you can take your time to read and digest the information at your own pace. Also most of the basics of forex trading can be found online for free. There are tons of websites that provide free forex trading courses and tutorials.

There are also free forex trading seminars online available plus advanced forex trading courses online such as the forexmentor program. While it’s usually not free, the costs are pretty cheap compared to attending a forex trading course in a classroom.

Another important part of an online forex trading education is practice. I believe no matter how well you understand forex trading or if you score an A in a forex trading course, the real deal comes when you actually start trading.

Most forex trading sites provides a demo account for new beginners to forex trading to learn how to manage their forex trading account. There is no monetary risk, so it is a very good way to learn the ropes.

Once you feel you have sufficient experience, you can open a regular forex trading account or a mini forex account. I would highly recommend you open a mini forex account and start trading in smaller amounts. It has all the features of a regular forex accounts yet you can start one usually with about US $100.

It’s important you do not rush through your online forex trading education. Take your time to understand and start trading in small amounts to practice. As the saying goes, practice make perfect.

Ricky Lim runs an online forex trading education site for beginners. Visit his site today for more forex tutorials such as a free forex trading strategy.

Forex Signal, Forex Signals Advice

There are lot's of Forex signals providers out there. New Forex traders might be thinking of looking for a reliable Forex signals provider. Is there any reliable Forex signals providers available?
Personally, I will say do not pay for Forex signals. Think about it - if a Forex signals provider sells Forex signals for living, you can doubt their Forex trading skills? Or else if they are pretty good in Forex trading and making lot's of profit, I am wondering why do they still bother to sell Forex signals for money. Thus, what would be the value of such Forex signals providers? The answer is ZERO.
There are Forex traders who have been relying on Forex signals arguing those Forex signals providers really help them making money in Forex trading. These Forex traders can even show their Forex trading logs as evidence. After some though, I came out with the assumption that assuming I am the owner of a Forex signals provider, in order for my business to be in black, obviously I need some satisfying customers......

How To Trade Forex The Right Way - Do You Really Need Forex Scalping? by Daniel Su

You can look at many different types of forex trading strategies when trying to increase your profits. Some people may choose the forex scalping method because they think it is a fast and easy way to reap the wealth from the market. But I will say that it is one of the most inaccurate and risky way of trading. Having the idea that you need to break down every aspect of the market and constantly be in action is the wrong way to go.
When you look at the most successful traders, and each depend upon the forex trading guide that has proven time and time again to be profitable for them. That being the case, many people will argue that learning how to trade forex is an extremely tedious business.
Some newer traders will look at the market and try to use too many methods to evaluate their trends. This is a great way to overcomplicate things and become extremely disorganized. If you are just coming into the market, you need to realize that you need to develop some forex trading techniques that will consistently produce your profits in the market.
Another pratfall when looking for your forex trading system is that people think they have to discover the next new super forex trend system or holy grail that will produce a hundred pips a day for them. It is quite impossible and absolutely not necessary as you can have a good living with the system that will produce just a few hundreds pips per month.
If you are looking for a system that is the be-all end-all where a forex trading guide is concerned, I need to tell you that it simply does not exist. Your goal is to find a simple system that will put money in your pocket on a steady basis and stick with it.
You should be looking for quality instead of quantity trades. One of the common forex trading strategies is to follow the trend or using breakouts. There are some forex indicators that will allow you to use those strategies effectively, the only challenge is choosing the right forex trading strategies in different market conditions. Bottomline is you should identify how you're going to focus your trading, make it profitable and stick with it.
The knock on this that forex trading can be boring and that you will lose interest. If you really struggle in forex trading, then you may want to consider some of the automated forex trading systems that will make you some profits in the long run. But of course, it is not advisable to use that if you have no idea on currency trading at all.
So if you find a good forex tradin guide that will allow you to identify trends and make the long-term moves, why would still you mess around with forex scalping? The most profitable traders find their niche and stick with it.
If you are still not making consistent profits from the market, you can get my free forex trading guide that will provide all the information you need on how to trade forex successfully. You will also find a simple and proven forex trading strategy that can get you started to make some profits - consistently.
